probably two main reasons: apathy and laziness

certainly not what Scot and the Republicans would have you believe

Could we please stop taking stabs at each other. It appears that there is no form of politics that can be discussed on this forum. I am out.
I am just like a Super Hero, but without the power or motivation.................and the funky suit.

It's just good-natured fun.
Like arguing over the best football team - there is no right answer. And you tend to argue for your favorite team, regardless of their record. Unless you're a Dolphins or Bears fan.

Scotty, you have some funny ideas about reality.

The college-age voters picked Kerry by about 55% to 40%. That they didn't turn out in extremely high numbers should not be construed by Bush/Halliburton or Republicans as an sign of intelligence.

hmm..well thats more depressing than my theory then..
so its a sign of unintelligence?

They're just college students: overworked, overpartied, and a bit lazy and apathetic. They still turned out in decent numbers, just not that high a number.

And they got it right, too.

that's why they're called generation Y, I believe. As in why me? I was in college (undergrad and grad) for 3 elections. Only voted in 1, the first, and that was because a lot of people from the dorm were going. The second election I was pretty green, if you know what I mean, and was definitely lazy/apathetic at that time. In 2000 I was in bed with a 104 fever, and was definitely temporarily apathetic at that time.
