Today's newspaper mentioned the discovery of organs (liver, not Hammond) on a sidewalk in New Haven, CT, not far from Yale. Police believed they might be human organs and, according an article in the Hartford Courant, "Hospital officials said they had not misplaced any organs, and no one showed up at the emergency room without theirs." But the innards were deer, not human, and this particular story has departed as quickly as it arrived. But leaving my favorite quote of the year in its wake.
