Hmm, only 2 1/2 years... you're still a poser!

ha ha! I hope you know I'm only fooling with ya! I never judge anyone on "how long" they're been into something. I was only into CPs for a year or so before I bought my "grail" highlander plants but I was ready with all the expensive/home invented crap I needed to grow them. Basically if you do your research, engineering and studying the rules of "you gotta be around a long time to get a rajah in yer neck of the woods" isn't necessarily true.

As far as the CP time limit, it may be the stage I'm at after about 4 years or so, the plants basically grow themselves now so I've gotten myself in other hobbies which are more involved and require more time & attention (sculpting, illustration). I still have my plants but I realized I don't need to dote on them every minute. Once you have their care conquered I'll admit, the rest of the time is pretty boring until you have a desire to relax and look at them, pollinate or water them.

Some people may be like me, they enjoy the challenge of learning all about their chosen plants (mine are Neps) and trying to grow them, once you've succedded with what you set out to do, the thrill of the challenge is over. But a lot of people may simply move on once they have met the challenge.

That's the stage I'm at currently, Once the weather is good enough for Ebaying I'm planning to whittle my collection of huge neps down to just a few cuttings of my very faveorite highlanders and a couple lowlanders. Move this thing back down to a hobby level since I'll probably never move outta this place and get the land for the highlander greenhouse I'd need.

My chosen plants at this moment are the Petiolaris Complex Drosera. It's a challenge just getting these plants in the first place, much less reproducing them. I figure this is a long term goal of mine. When I get burned out fussing with my Drosera, I just walk over to my parents house and enjoy my Sarracenia collection, providing that its the growing season.

People contact me from around the globe wondering if I want to see young girls naked, or if I need any Viagra or Xanax. Which I don't. Ahhhhh...Spam....

Anyway, my thing is prairie plants...but I'm really liking CP's. Really, really liking them. April

Not really a time limit....just the period to give yourself a reputation. Which I guess is a time period! In general, pitcher plants come naturally for me, and thus, I aquired my place as a pitcher plant specialist. Just gotta find the genus which suites you.

Yes I notived once the bog garden is established for a year you have far less to do. And after you have made and replaced/expermiented with many I can now make a 30 gallon bog in about an hour.
I decided to plant my neps out side in their own "bog" for the summer. well my highlanders anyway. I hope that will cut down on chores.
Interestingly the easiest Neps for me are N. spathulata and my supposed N. viellardi 'yellow pitchers'.
In the past two weeks I have rearanged things to cut down on watering by 99%. I still use a lot of water but it only takes 2 minutes max now. Now I have a lot more time for propagating and expanding my collection.

I think we are on the same Emailing list! Only I get all these ads for Viagra and insurance scams and all the "window shopping" my daughter does on the Internet. SO many people concerned about SO many things that I could care less about...

Ahhh....So you're the one getting my spam! Wondered why I was getting the ones for breast enhancement! Not something I need or am interested in; thank you, but NO thank you. I trip over my feet bad enough as it is.
