No I'm not stopping growing cps, but blowing this joint. Obviously since I've been here for 1.5 years I should give a good reason.

Terraforums is a great place with good potential-but TOO much potential. I mean by that-it has expanded so that there are a gigantic diversity of people. Now at school, work, colleges, etc. There are a lot of people with diversity, but you don't have to interact with all of them. On a forum everyone is connected, and anyone can post in a topic that interests them. Since views differ so much, there are way too many "debates" which are pretty close to flame wars. I should point out that any sarcasm online looks caustic, even if it isn't intentionally mean.
We should follow the example at CPUK, which I am a member of but rarely post, just because it is hard to keep up with. They moderate their forums more strictly, not in a superficial sense but in a friendly, no conditions authority.
What I'm getting at is with so many debates on religion, etc. it is sort of depressing for people who do have a religion to have to come back every other fifteen minutes to counter some sort of twist on words or technicality of wording in your post, etc.

I won't be taking any hate from TF, no grudges or specific anger on any member. I'll be taking an impression of TF along with other places I've been and left, and a lot of it is white and some of it is black. You can never depend on certain people, a certain group for something. And if you're in a place like that, and have an option of leaving, take the risk and blow the joint because there can only be more harm

End note: And don't bann me or something, and don't lock this topic it isn't breaking any rules .. even though I'm leaving if I happen to be in a desperate CP dilemma i still might post in the nepenthes section or something. As for another note-some of you might be surprised by the paths a few of our former members have taken-surprised and angered ..when I come back here i better not get any soft soap or bloody bullets thank you, that is all. And thank you to all the moderators at TF, all the members that I've become friends with, the people who haven't broken the trust I've been able to put in them. You've put a lot of time into a peaceful hobby we all love, and for that you have some respect

Sorry to hear your comments. If you do find something offensive, don't hesitate to PM a mod and we'll try and sort it out.
There have been a lot of 'heated' discussions lately and we have tried to improve things with a new set of rules. We have been locking certain topics that look like becoming flame wars, but the purpose of the general forum is to discuss anything. It's a fine line between perceived 'censorship' and anything goes discussion.
The main CP topics are pretty devoid of any heated debates so I hope you'll return to post there at least.

As has been said MANY times...no one has to read and/or participate in any topic discussions. No one has a gun to your head to even be here. If you do not enjoy TerraForums, which is made up of a very diverse but exceptionally wonderful group, then by all means one should not be here. We hate to see any member leave, but people come and go all the time. No biggie.

No one is obligated to make an explanation for an exit. No one is being forced to partipate in these forums or in any topics. All ya gotta do is simply stop posting. Seems like once one person makes a grand and dramatic exit, everybody has to jump on the bandwagon and follow suit. I don't understand the drama but to each his or her own.

If anyone has entered into a topic debate and feels like he or she got "flamed" or were upset by what you read, then *you* hold responsibility for that for taking it on. Like the old saying "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen." Personally I can't understand it when people CHOOSE to enter a discussion and then complain about it later after they were PART OF IT. This forum is a "cafeteria"...pick and choose what you want out of it.

That being said, I always hate to see any member leave. I'm sorry to see you go but good luck with your plants.

I wish you much success and well being in the future.

If you need to leave for awhile that's cool, but don't close and lock the door - it won't be locked on you by anyone here. When and if you're ready, hopefully there will still be a forum here for you to return to. Take care, and good luck.

Sorry to see you go dude.
Update: Parents convinced to allow me to keep greenhouse heated over winter. Most species will not be lost. Too lazy to update growlist.
