    guys check this out,


    i run the geroge washington bridge back and forth, or ride my bike across it back and forth twice.. which would be more effective?

    I would guess that running 2 units (whatever the unit of distance is)
    would be more of a workout than cycling 4 units..
    but they are probably pretty close.

    running just works your body harder than biking..more of an intense workout.
    but cycling is better for you, isnt as rough on your joints.
    its a toss-up...either is great!

    I would guess that running two units might be equal to cycling 6..
    so 3 times acoss the bridge and back..
    but thats just a guess..
    cycling is highly variable..depends on how hard you ride.

    i misread teh question


    running it is better evein if in 2 units, but running 4 is even better.

    use the bike if you want to go farther with less energy
    that makes no logic

    Running burns more calories than biking, hands down without question. I believe it's something like 4 times more calories on average. I'm telling ya, long distance running is the best all-around exercise.

    actually, the best all around excersise is swiming

    Well, actually running and swimming are equal as the best all-around exercise. Although swimming cannot promote bone mass in the lower limbs...but for those of us who cannot run you can't beat swimming.
