How is it not considered bias when a certain group of people are given incentives to go to college? *They have just as much of a chance to make good grades and take advantage of schollarships as I do. *Why should one group of people be given special privelages because of ethnicity? *Why can't the systems be given to those who earn it? *Those who make good grades and strive to better themselves instead of giving someone something because of their ethnicity and them squander it away. *I have to earn my scholership money. *I don't get it because I'm this that and the other. *Please don't get me wrong I don't want to hold anyone back, but why is one group allowed special privledges over others?? *I can understand native americans being able to do peotie(sp) because it was part of their religion way before it was made illegal, and weed for the rastafarians, but why do indians get to have tax breaks? *They live here they are using the system. *I duno. *Like I said I am all about helping people out when they need it, but why do we have to set out more help or different help for a certain group of people, be it whites blacks, blues or greens. *If its suposed to be about equality then things need to be leveled out. *You can't make it equal by giving special privadges to certain groups and not to others. *You shouldn't be able to have affirmative action and give a job to someone because on ethnicity not job performance. *You shouldn't hold a person back because there is already to many "whites" in the job now we must hire a minority. *Even though the "white" was more qualified we still have to hire the minority. *Getting the job should be based on job performance and not enthnicity. *My father was passed up for promotion many times in the military because of affirmative action only for a minority to get the promotion and be dumber than a box of rocks. *Please don't take my comments as racest because they are not ment to be that way. *I believe in equality, affirmative action and special treatment to a certain group of people do not constitute equality in my book. *EVERYONE should have just as many chances.
