What's your favorite tv commercial

I like commercials with good music...like the car commercial featuring Nick Drake's song "Pink Moon." Anyone a Nick Drake fan?

I love that commercial!

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8lSKUL_n6c0&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8lSKUL_n6c0&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I totally related to it when it was out, (I guess I was their target audience!)
because I was a single 20-something, mid-20's, just when I was beginning to outgrow "college type" beer partys, and would much rather go on a night-time drive with friends than go to a lame party..The commercial didnt make me want to buy a Volkswagen specifically, but it did make me want to go for a drive! :)
So I guess it half-worked..

and the girl at the end is just too cute..I love her..
thats just a great commercial on so many levels.."time to grow up, get a real car, get a girlfriend (the car might help with that), get a life, you are beyond childish things now..you are 25..buy this car, its perfect for you and your life." it says all that, and more..

classic..

I have limited memory available to store past commercials but my favorite one that comes to my mind in the last year is the pepsi max super bowl " I'm good " commercial.

It's funny how the more people that are are present, the more you try to hide your pain.

Dairy Queen will always be my #1 fav commercials, the writers put in so much effort, i am always anxious for a new commercial.
Like the blindfolded iced moo-late test... NO, NO! I won't give it back...*gets up and runs into a glass wall* BAAAHAHAHA!
They really know where to put their money, best commercials of all time IMO.

It has to be a sign of horrifying consumerism that we have a "favorite commercial"...!

The only commercial I really could say I liked and will probably always remember was this yogi meditating in his cave and this "mmmmmmmmm" sound droning on. Without opening his eyes or really moving he lifts a can of bug spray and gasses an invisible fly, then it's silent. :D

I think that's a bit too strong; some of our greatest filmmakers began in commercials -- Ridley Scott among them; and some are just simply funny, regardless if I have any interest in the product.

With that said, these two have got to be in my top five -- a milk ad linking calcium to decreased symptoms of PMS, all set to a Barry White-like soundtrack (this one, by the way, I know to be true -- even the dog looks concerned); that, and a wealthy sexpot greeting the milkman (look for her "moustache").

I agree with Swords about the intellectual and moral vacuum that lead to someone having a favorite commercial. So here's my favorite.

The question made me think about some animated Lifesavers commercials back in the mid(?) 70s. Sure enough, someone put some on youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhxgZ6x0h78. I'm going back to look for the Wylers commercials from the same period.

Edit: All I can find is a Wylers lemonade commercial - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQgYR_gXink - which I don't remember and it doesn't do anything for me. Other than for stirring the nostalgia for a time when psychedelia was the commercial mainstream. I think the Wylers commercial I liked best was for root beer.

After seeing those again, I think the song is going to play in my head for another 30+ years.
