If u are good with electronics...I would suggest making a ballast that can take 2 or more of these bulbs. if anyone knows i would love to know how to make my own 4 bulb lamp.

    bulb itself:

pretty cheap. I would love to get 4 and setthem up in a custom setup....but i have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how.
I used to use 440 watts of Very High Output flourescent. It wasn't intense enough.

You could look on ebay for PC fixtures. I believe theres a 20 inch one thats like atleast 109 watts.

    Very nice!
How big is the tank? Also, what kind of plant is in the large round pot (that seems to be a bit tilted) on the upper left corner of the tank ?

You're D. adalea[Edit: Spelling is D. adelae, you transposed "a's for e's and vice versa".] will burn a little bit but will hopefully come back with some wonderful color! I got mine to get RED leaves.!

It would be much safer just to buy multiple fixtures, or look for a fixture that fits multiple bulbs. And wouldn't T5s be cheaper in the long run?

the problem is right now I have a small 20 inch aquarium. there aren't good tube lights at thaat size with like 6500 K and good CRI.

This sunlight desklamp seems to do amazing for my venus fly traps. if I can just get another of these bulbs setup somehow ...then I know that the plant traps will become blood red.

I think light shopping is the hardest part of having CP's . everything else is easy.

Oh but there are fantastic fluorescent lights that size! They are just expensive. I think you are worrying too much with CRI. To me, anything above 80 is good enough.

If you have the cash, look here.
