Sometimes I can experience daytime temps of 105 or more. I often try to plan for these, but I'm not always succesful. Humidity... anywhere from 30 to 100 and lights... the greenhouse is outside, so as much as 12 hours or as little as 5 depending on season.

Awesome pitchers and pictures!! I'e never seen such a perfectly flared peristome on a veitchii like that!

  • #123
Awesome, my conditions are right in the middle of yours.

  • #124
That is one out-of-control peristome you have there, Mr. veitchii.

Gorgeous plants.

Some pics from the middle of winter:

N. aristolochioides. Pitcher as big as the plant itself (which is not to say much about the plant size):

N. izumiae. My very first izumiae pitcher. It doesn't like my summer conditions but it likes winter:

N x trusmadiensis. I just got this plant. This pitcher did not grow under my care:

N x ventricosa x angasanensis. Used to have two cuttings of this plant, but gave one away:

Nice backyard.

very nice.. Do you even have snow outside?

  • #128
Very nice plants! Of course it just makes me want a pure aristolochioides even more. :)

Not much is pitchering right now. It's still fairly cold and growth is slow or completely arrested. Still... There are a few plants that are looking nice:

Fairly typical: Long fibered sphagnum, perlite, fine and coarse bark, a little sand and a little charcoal.

interesting moss growth with a mix like that. Thought for sure you were going to say peat was part of it.
