i wouldnt worry to much about the mold/algae growing on the heli pitchers...happens to them in the wild too.

That's good to know Amph. :) Gives me a little peace of mind. :)

CJ: It's not particularly powerful but it does seem to keep the surface of the media a few degrees cooler and in the greenhouse, every little bit helps.

Greg: They're doing fine. A little neglected as I did not clean them of old D. capensis this year so there's quite a bit of that and clover growing in the bogs. At this point it's too late in the year to do much about it, I'll be a little more diligent about it next year. At this time of year, they're looking a little crispy around the edges and not all that good-looking.

In Marin? You could just leave them outside. Highlanders would do fine in that environment.
