Nice neps. I wish that my moss grew as lushly as yours, or that my moss grew at all.

Your Nepenthes look fabulous. The color on the N. spectabilis x aristolochioides is just fantastic.

Oooh, lots of color and nice developments! Everything looks fantastic!
I'm happy you shared :-D

I love the deep red leaves on the N. pervillei! I didn't know any nepenthes kept such dark red leaves.

Edit:

Looking at CP Photo, I don't see any of the pictured specimens with such deep red coloration. Is yours a certain form, or is it the lighting, or just a coloration it has at an immature stage?

Thanks for all the kind words. I can only hope they will get better!

I wish my plants looked half as good as yours. Seriously though, red-leaved N. pervillei! Mine's green with brown spots :-))

And it looks like that N. inermis is going to make some nice uppers soon...

What's the entire grow space there look like? Is everything in tanks under lights? Everything looks great, just curious how your getting these nice results.

  • #32
i like the tank inside idea, i have a small 10 gal fish tank in my rack and the plants in there seam to be doing better that the other ones just on the rack.

It's in a 2x4 hydrohut. I have a 4 shelf metal rack in it. The bottom of the rack has 2 tanks with all my small neps and helis. I have on more tank with dews, ultrics and pings. Everything else is just sitting on the rack. I have lights under each shelf. T5 on bottom, 2x T8 middle and 2x 175 watt CFL. I leave the room closed for high humidity. I have a 6" inline fan venting the whole room. With the tanks on the bottom I get high humidity in there so it works perfect. I keep the whole thing in my garage to get the night time temp. drop. It's worked like a charm from the beginning! If you have any more specific questions let me know. You should be able to see a pic of the whole setup in the beginning of the thread.
