I have a 400w air conditioner($100) that I use during the summer along with shade cloth($20 at walmart) to keep it as cool as possible. Now, I have a few hot days where it impossible to keep temps below 95f but for the most part everything is manageable enough to keep things happy.

Btw, I use one of the cheapo greenhouses with the plastic covering($70). I've had to replace a lil of the plastic but besides that its very functional.
Tysm! Good to know the cheap plan is working out for others.

Pink & green toilet... (Filled 3/4 of the way with fluids all on its own!)

    All of my little rosettes

It's so red and I didn't even have to photoshop it! All of my N. x 'Ventrata' pitcher filled themselves up with fluid and have suspiciously caught bugs that I didn't even add to their pitchers...

The largest basal pitcher of my N. ventricosa x talangensis

My N. ventricosa x talangensis is forming a total of 6 pitchers -- 2 uppers and 4 lowers... Well at least I hope two uppers, because there are two pitcher forming on the top two leaves on the vine.

I was sitting on the couch watching TV and grieving over how I couldn't find a single insect to feed the new pitcher of my N. jacquelineae, when a crane fly flew by! They fly pretty slowly, so I was able to grab it single-handedly and run it to my terrarium. I shoved it into the pitcher of my jacq and watched it sink. I was able to wad it up to where no parts of it were sticking out of the pitcher. It was probably about 1.5", but it fit nicely in the pitcher. Not much meat on it except for the body. The legs are as thin as hairs and the wings dissolved pretty quickly.

Crane fly, in case you've never seen one...

Anyone know what could be the cause of these brown marks on the newly formed Pasian Highlands N. truncata pitcher?

I also found a strange bug sucking on a nectar gland on my N. 'Peter D'amato' x maxima.

I tried to squish it with a paper towel and feed it to one of my neps, but it got away and I couldn't find it. Hopefully it become pitcher food!

Good news! I've finally decided to get a heater and a cooler for the greenhouse, and I'm considering a fogger.

    The suspense is building!!

Do you ever get that urge to bite into a nep because it looks juicy? I swear my jacq actually looks appetizing to me!

My Pasian Highland N. truncata is reddening up!

And after like seven years, my N. densiflora x spectabilis actually finished the last stage of pitcher formation...

I actually like my N. x 'Ventrata' alota!
