water for live sphagnum moss?

i have two trays of live sphagnum moss. I've been giving them distilled water. can i give them regular water that's not suitable for carnivorous plants?

It's best to stick with distilled or Reverse Osmosis filtered water.

Distilled, stay with distilled, sphagnum moss is sensitive to minerals. In addition, it is also sensitive to some chemicals that the CPs such as nepenthes can tolerate

damn it, maybe I really should just buy my own reverse osmosis system. I want to be cheap and do the easy way. Guess not ???

Thanks Not a Number and PsychoSarah for the response.

Sphagnum is more sensitive to poor water than nepenthes are. That's one of the reasons to use sphagnum as a canary in the coalmine.
