Thanks! The Sarr that was eaten is not happy. It was fine, then the next morning newest growth was eaten. Sprayed it down with some stuff, now all I can do is wait.:-(

So hot here! 100 degree temps for the last week or so. 113-115 in the greenhouse!
Orchids seem to like this heat.

This one on the front porch is growing quickly. The new pitchers are easily 10x larger than previous ones!

Cut off the growing point on this Amp. I now have 3 grow points and the cutting is starting to grow, too.

Cooler temps means my lowland Neps. go back in side for a couple months, I plan to bring them in the house once the temps get really low.

N. Miranda growing all over! Kept in the greenhouse all summer. Broken flower stalk led to this.

Moved these in earlier because the bugs were eating the new growth. Doing much better now!

Some new pics since most of my neps are in the greenhouse. Cooler nights have made my low-landers unhappy. Put them in a 20 gallon low terrarium inside on a windowsill. Much better!

Wow everything looks great i absolutly love the ping in the rock! Did u drill a hole and stuff it with peat or sphagnum? I deff would love to try that idea when i get more pings

  • #55
Yes, the Ping has a combination of peat, sphagnum, and perlite. The rock is volcanic and easily "dug-out" with a flat head screwdriver. I actually have 3 more pings on it! I will post a pic later.

Most everything is in the GH now. My wife's flowering plants have one end, and the CP's have the other. I removed some shade cloth so about a 1/4 gets full sun. Now the pics!

Nice pics, thanks for sharing! Was a good idea letting your wife keep her flowering plants in there among the carnivorous plants. Hopefully some of them are scented and can cover up the scent of a Nepenthes flower haha.

That's awesome. Everything looks quite happy. But one problem.... I still see empty space for plants!!:jester:

  • #60
Yes, more plants! I moved all the sarrs just outside the greenhouse for dormancy. Even with them inside, I still have more room!:-D
