Lightbulb OrchidBox climate controlled terrariums... What do you all think about this?

I've been working on something like this for a while and dreaming of it in since I started growing CPs some ten odd years ago.

Just curious. What do you think about these? They're climate controlled, smart wi-fi enabled terrariums.

Would need a lot more info than what is listed on the website but some random thoughts, keeping in mind I've build 1-2 dozen terrariums over the years in various sizes.

Wifi is useless, complete waste of money imo, they should be spending that money somewhere else or just reducing the price. Same with lumen/lux sensors, since they only measure visual spectrums and don't read the red/blue spectrums that plants need, well these sensors are mainly for us and not the plants. Humidity gauges are also a tricky one, the cheap ones don't work well and the ones that do work you have to pay for.

At $220-290 for a 2.5g tank that may or may not contain the thermoelectric chillers listed as optional I wish them the best of luck as that price point seems WAY to high for something like this. But I'm not aware of another product like this so, there is that.

Scrap the camera also, I'm not after a tablet with my growing space. Just a waste of design and construction costs that are already to high. Spend that money on frog proofing the largest one and go after the frog crowd along with the orchid/CP crowd.

Over the past 10 years or so I've watched a few of these companies try to start up and none have made it into production, Orchidarium? was the last one I recall actually producing products. Hopefully they will get something out into production that is useful for us.

    Orchidariums are no more.

That's a pretty common occurrence on the outskirts of town...
