    I saw a R.O system at Sam's Club for around $150.
It's like walking out a door and discovering it's a window.

This is the membrane I am using most often at this moment to supply my needs and the needs of my plants:

M-T2026AXLE -- 2 inches in diameter and 26 inches in length.
At 100 PSI it can produce 240 GPD. I have an R.O. feedwater booster pump and use about 80 PSI towards my needs. I fill and refill a dozen plastic gallon jugs -- as it is configured it takes about 8 minutes per gallon or 180 GPD.
