    mysterious weedy thing...

Had a drosera sent to me that was DOA was hoping it would come back to life but the only thing that's been thriving is this little mysterious weedy thing...its not bothering me, i actually kind of like it it's a cute little weedy thing with tiny cute flowers
I just was wondering if anyone has any idea or knowledge as to what it could be, or had any info on it at all. I never seen it in any pots with any plants i have had before but I'm sure it's a little common weed of some sort but id figure id see if Antoine has seen it b4 and knew what it was..if not no biggy thought id take a chance asking here.

What was the species that ended up dying in shipping (again)?

It was a pygmy dew, i removed the label long ago cause it was gone months ago. The post office had a bad habit of not leaving pick up slips but saying the pkg was delivered on their end and then had NO idea where the package was for weeks when id goo their attempting to pick then up (still missing pkgs to this day from then), come to find out they did indeed have the pkg in their facility and it was not where it was supposed to be..grrr. The post man who delivered art my old place was the worst he actually got fired for all the pkgs he lost and didn't deliver or leave notices for from alot of people in my area. My new mail guy is good but some time plants just don't ship that well no matter whose delivering it...ahrg.

What ever it is, get rid of it quickly as it spreads faster and wider than Drosera capensis or Utricularia bisquata. It may all ready be too late as it is going to seed. It will cover you pots and forms mat on top with somewhat extensive roots - choking out smaller plants like Drosera.

Whenever I water my plants I routinely weed these out as much as possible and have gotten to recognize what the seedlings look like.

My post office is very bad too. I cringe whenever I find one of those missed delivery slips as it is a 50/50 chance that they won't be able to find the package if I go to pick it up.
Grand Hotel... always the same. People come, people go. Nothing ever happens.

There's nothing worse than opening a late package and knowing what you'll find inside.

That's why I always order my plants to be shipped during their dormant period. Safer that way. Unless of course the package gets wet.

Your mystery plant is Irish moss, a very weedy plant that's used for groundcovers, but not good for much else....

Oh well i don't mind it its not in an area that's gonna spread
Atleast not in anything that's living all those containers were the dead pygmy droseras i bought that didn't make it ....ahrg.. I've been holding out hoping theyd grow back or whatever but that weedy thingy is the only thing that's living out of all 4 containers except for D. Capensis but theirs enough of those lol!

Yea it sucks the usps has been really bad lately sometimes i just wanna scream at them but its pointless cause I'm sure they get that all the time...

I like the look of the weedy thing im just gonna keep it around see what happens can't be any worse then U. Bisquama or D. Capensis and everyone has those or have had them at one point lol. Thanks for the I.D and the suggestions
