    hello hello

    Hey everybody,

I've been growing CP's for a little bit now, a few years, and some of you may have seen me on other forums but I figured I'd jump in here and say 'ello 'ello.

My growlist isn't that extensive but it contains:

    Dionaea muscipula
    typical

    Drosera
    adelae
    binata ssp. binata
    binata ssp. dichotoma
    binata ssp. multifida
    capensis 'alba'
    capensis
    filliformis
    graminifolia
    peltata
    spatulata

    Nepenthes
    ventrata
2 others that I have no clue and no pitchers to show...

    Sarracenia
    x Catesbaei

*assorted stow-aways in the various pots*

I'm using 3, 2100 lumen compact fluorescent bulbs in about a 20 gallon fishtank.
Humidity stays about 30-40% and each plant is in its own pot .

I am in the middle of making a Highland terrarium and contructing a greenhouse for my relatively new hobby.

Always looking for more! Nepenthes and Drosera have to be my favorite but I love them all haha

My want list however... is rather extensive...

ANYTHING TEMPERATE and/or easy growers for now

    Drosera
    Drosera hartmeyerorum
    Drosera capensis - red form
    Drosera intermedia
    Drosera rotundifolia
    Drosera anglica
    Drosera arcturi
    Drosera capillaris
    Drosera filiformis x intermedia

    Nepenthes
    Nepenthes aristolochioides
    Nepenthes "Sabre - Dark Cherry"
    Nepenthes x [talangensis*hamata]
    Nepenthes inermis
    Nepenthes villosa
    Nepenthes eymae
    Nepenthes dubia
    Nepenthes bicalcarata
    Nepenthes aristolochioides
    Nepenthes platychila
    Nepenthes campanulata
    Nepenthes edwardsiana
    Nepenthes jacquelineae
    Nepenthes paniculata
    Nepenthes tenuis
    Nepenthes pervillei (Seychelles)
    Nepenthes veitchii
    Nepenthes sibuyanensis
    Nepenthes reinwardtiana
    Nepenthes ramispina
    Nepenthes x [bellii x mixta]
    N. lowii x ventricosa-red
    N. (thorelii x rafflesiana-Sing.) x (talangensis x inermis)
    Nepenthes albomarginata
    typ black
Any Nepenthes seed (has a great urge to try growing them from seed)

    Cephalotus follicularis
    Any Heliamphora

    Non-CP's
    Dracaena draco (Dragon's Blood Tree)
    Desmodium gyrans (Telegraph Plant)

any weed (CP that is) that any one has that needs a good home

Seeds or plants doesn't matter to me

    Me in a nutshell :P

Welcome to TF. There is a grow list section so you probably want to post your grow list there.

As for Drosera arcturi, this is hardly an easy to grow species as it may require highland condition and very cold dormancy. It has a reputation of being as difficult to grow in cultivation as Drosera linearis (well nigh impossible). The giant variety may be more amenable to cultivation as it grows closer to sea level. Ivan Snyder informed me that this variety is soon to be elevated to a separate species.

I'm glad Glider14! The filliformis has already tripled in size... it was like it just decided to grow over night! The adelea and peltata are slowly chugging along too and doing good. Sadly no upward growth on it yet *even though it IS out of season*.

Thanks for all the great welcomes guys!

Ya... I am thinking of removing that one sundew off my list...

    at least for now

    Thanks guys,
    -J.P.
