Hello There,

I'm Nancy, a plant lover who is finally discovering the great communities that we have online.

I don't have any carnivorous plants in my green family yet, as I've been doing a lot of research and trying to ensure that any plants that make it into my care will actually live.

I'm fascinated by sundews, as well as nepenthes, and various other pitchers. I also appreciate the carnivorous plant that is the odd man out, or semi-carnivorous. I hope to one day have my own greenhouse where I can give the proper conditions to these amazing plants.

Currently I grow hoyas (obsessed), holiday cactii (also obsessed and trying to create seed pods now), orchids (newer to these) and succulents among the various, other house plants that I really enjoy.

By trade, I am a digital advertising specialist, and I have an awesome Punjabi-American husband. (I'm an Irish Gal, mostly, but Samuel Wardwell is a great grandparent of mine. Love the New England lineage.) Together we have a sweetheart of a shihtzu/poodle. No kidlings yet. :)

I look forward to the excellent education that I am sure I will receive here, and the enabling that I'm sure is already happening. :-P-:

Welcome..you'll find that we are all plant obsessed in one form or another. Also a great many members here grow orchids along side their cps. personally, I'm an orchid fanatic with a cp problem. Come on in to the chat room and say Hi.

Welcome to TF!

What does 'Slainte!' mean?

"Slainte" is "Cheers" in Gaelic. That being said, it's pronounced nothing like it looks.

welcome to the addiction.

I get it. It's like the name, 'Eoghan' that I saw in a movie. That one is pronounced as 'Owen'.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I hope to have a home full on CPs on top of my home that is already filled with other plants. Lolz! Hoyas have been taking over at home, and at work, as of late.

Slainte, is pronounced - slahn cha. :)

When I started out I was buying what Lowes and the like had to offer, but when I stumbled upon this discussion forum, just trying to figure out genus and species names, I soon discovered we had a trading post. I was scarfing up just about every seed and gemmae offering I could. It wasn't long before I had a decent collection, via the generous folks on this here forum.
