Hi, i have recently recieved a ton of new seed to start germinating and if anyone could help it would be appreciated, i would like to know if they have to be startified, and how to germinate them, heres the list:

    Passion fruit '08'
    red bird of paradise '08'
    yucca brevifolia-Joshua tree '08'
    hesperaloe parviflora-red yucca '08'
    palo verde tree '08'
    catalpa tree '08'
    amaranthus '08'

Proboscidea Parviflora var. hohokamiana '09' think there is a post of germating these on this forum/ ill take a look at it
buttonbush '09' in strat/need germination info

Although most are packed for '08' the seed looks promising, all is still very plump, and looks like ill definatly get some results, thanks for your help

i have started to germinate these and here are some results so far:

    Palo verde tree seeds:
first i used a pair of nail clippers and clipped the seedcoat to expose the inside

on the 2-3 day roots are visible and start to emerge from the seeds
i have potted them will get pics once plants are established

    Catalupa tree seeds:
Take seeds soak in warm water, change water daily
on day 3-4 roots are visable and start to emerge from the seeds

    Red bird of paradise:
first use nail clippers and clip seedcoat to expose inside
soak in warm water, change daily
    roots appear on day 3-4

    yucca brevifolia-joshua tree
