Amorphophallus konjac Starting To Flower

  • #21
thanks for the update...I have been very curious on this one.:0o:
So, do you have to fight off the neighborhood animals that are attracted to the scent?
Or, is it horrid enough they all stay away!?

It's a weird smell / Hard to describe / But it is Rank / Love It
I have it outdoors / Think it would easily stink up a room good if it was indoors
What gets me is when you catch a whiff from a few feet away / LOL

The weird thing is that it doesn't seem to be attracting flies
&
I'm surprised that I don't have every ghetto cat in the neighborhood in my back yard

Anybody have ANY Ideas on how I could dry / save / preserve the flower???

PS~ I Have Two Small Corms Available If Anyone Is Interested In Trading

call your local florist's, the larger ones will usually have a unit for freeze drying flowers.
If nothing else they can tell you how best to dry them.
