    I think your unknown trillium is Trillium luteum, it's got the same flowers and leaf coloration.

    You have some amazing wonders growing about your yard!! Seeing this makes me itch for spring so badly, I can't wait to start up my pics of the yard again this year with the new camera hehe! I *love* the blackish colored violets (amongst many others, but I'm partial to "dark colored" plants!) lol! I can't wait for my tiny amorphophallus bulbs to be big enough to amount to something...my sauromatum venosum should be a sight this year though! Very nice thread
