    um, lithopsman, these aren't utrics, they're tillandsia, otherwise known as air plants. The species name is utriculata, and they aren't CPs. My point with the name of the thread is that most tillandsia are small compared to a human, but this one is almost as tall as me.

    Are those rather unique in that they grow to be giant or do most Tillandisias get that large. Mine have so much catching up to do. They're 3 inches tall.

    man, I want a tillandsia soooooo bad!!!! you have another one left?
    BTW, do you know any place I can buy tillansia that make pups and grow to over 1 ft. in diameter?

    I think that fatboy could help you out more on this than I can, but I believe that www.airplants.com is a good place to start. the plant that I was holding openned all the seed pods a couple of weeks ago, liberating thousands of seeds into the air. I could try to see if I can get a few to you, but I know for a fact that it's gonna be years before you'll have a 1 ft diameter tillandsia like this.

    I've decided that I'm going to buy the species Ioanantha Guatemala. Is that a good one to start with?
    Hmmm, I wqould love some seed mindmaze, but how would you ship them out of country?
