You are bidding to become the lucky owner of a phrag divison from one of this country's pioneer Phragmipedium hybrdizers, Chuck Ackers. This a divsion of Demetria 'Mem. Don Walkiet' HCC/AOS x Barbara LeAnn.
Chuck's goal in this breeding was to work towards phrags with the color of phrag besseae but with a more elongated pouch and wavy petals. I didn't take any pictures when it bloomed last for me, I'm sorry. But it is a dark pink and occupies less space than N.maxima 'lake poso'
I know this divsion will fetch a high dollar by auction's end. But I love seeing the bidding wars so I will start the bid price low.
