    Nice. Do you know what species/hybrid they are? I love the whole Masdie clan, but can't grow them. It gets too hot in the summer and too dry in the winter and they end up hating me. I think it's the desert-like winter air that really does them in.

    The single flower is M. Southern Sun. (M. veitchiana x M. hirtzii).
    The other one is >. Copper Angel. (M. triangularis x M. veitchiana).
    I have some others in bloom too, just need to take pictures.

    I grow mine mostly in my basement under lights. It's much cooler down there. They can be tricky, I am still learning with these things myself!

    The only Masdie that ever bloomed for me was a Masd infracta. But I decided to go out a winner and traded it before it could go the way of every other Masdie family plant I've tried. I didn't kill that many, but they were generally smaller when they left than when they arrived. The infracta had one good year out of the few I had it. But my Bulbo blumeii has a Masdie sort of appearance and I guess it satisfies my need for a three pronged flower.
