SHOW US YOUR ORCHIDS/FLOWERS!

  • #81
It's definitely a Phal. It could be a Dtps., which is an intergeneric hybrbid between a Phal and the very closely related Doritis pulcherrima, but everyone calls them Phals too. It just seems to me that a lot of those large flowered Phals turn out to be a Dtps.

I really have no idea, somewhere around 40? maybe more. I have atleast 10 in one 12" X 12" X 24" High, vivarium. I mount them on the driftwood in there and forget about them until them bloom. With 1-3" orchids you can fit a TON into a small space :-D.

---------- Post added at 05:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:12 PM ----------

Just counted the 12X12X24 vivarium and it has 21 orchids in it plus a few other plants.

Thought I'd take a quick pic of the vivarium. Its not a great photo but it gets the idea across.

Oh and there are 24+ in there now, added a few more. See all that open glass space :-D Lots of room left!

And a new flower starting to open up, Pleurothallis allenii? I think. To early to tell.
