Phalapenosis

Hey all,
Just curious, how can you tell if a phalapenosis is gonna send up a spike. Thanks.

I don't know of any way other than to see the spike.  It comes out sort of like a root, but has a different shape.  A new spike will be green, with sort of a football shaped (American) cross section.  It's also pointy.  After it gets out a little further, you'll see a bit of a flap on it.

What is a "phalapenosis"?

That would be Phalaenopsis wouldn't it?

So I would hope.

I had phalepenosis once, but cured it with antibiotics.
