    Really Bruce? That must explain the groups 3-4 plants one right behind another. Spread like a strawberry, only not that fast of course! lol. Do you grow these?

    I had three but made a stupid decision about over-wintering them at the end of 2003 and now have one slowly recovering plant left in it. I use an 18" diameter basin with many holes drilled in the bottom. Instead of burying the pot that year, I put it under a bushy hemlock and covered it with leaves. I think it went through some freeze-thaw cycles, which are the cause of so much winter kill. The surviving plant does have two growths this year and I hope it'll bloom again next year.

    Thats what happened to my first 3 plants. I buried it, and the plants had buds, but were partially rotted in the spring and just died off. IN the ground is definetly 100% more positive success rate!!!!!

    Yes you did Clint! The one flowering, is one I had before though. The big leafy ones are the ones from you. They still made it however! Probably will flower next year.

    fantastic! i'm so pleased they survived. the ones growing on our property are still in flower and should last a few more days at least.

    i'm very happy they lived for you.
