Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to share a few Sarracenia pics.

partial view of our Sarr bench

This fall the S. leucophylla are really looking fantastic.

    S. leucophylla Franklin Cnty 'C'

    S. leucophylla from Perdido FL 'B'

We have seedlings of our leucos on the way. Last spring we crossed some of our nicest forms. We have been breeding both for color and location genome.

For the below leuco pics, the pic on the left is the pod parent (mom) and the pic on the right is the pollen parent (dad) - imagine what the babies will look like...
    S. leucophylla Navarre (mom) S. leucophylla Franklin Cnty Giant (dad)

    S. leuco Franklin Cnty 'Clyde's Giant'(mom) S. leuco Franklin Cnty 'D' (dad)

    S. 'The Brute' [Yellow River Nat Hyb (gilpini x rubra) x minor 'Okee Giant']

    We'll post more later. Enjoy!

    Alexis,
    Thanks!
    S. alata does not grow in Navarre, Fl. There are no S. rubra growing there either. This plant was collected years ago, on the North side of Rt. 98, on the far side of the dune near the beach. We have several leucos with that red coloration in the lid.

Here is a pic of S. leucophylla from Hosford FL. No other Sarracenia grow in the same bog, so the red coloration is not from rubra or alata.

    S. leuco from Perdido, FL

    S. leuco with butterfly

    S. leucophylla dwarf Garcon Point, FL 'D'

    S. leucophylla dwarf Garcon Point, FL 'G'

    S. leucophylla dwarf Garcon Point, FL 'F'

That is surprising variation without introgression. Are you sure that a paint brush wasn't used?
