I have S. flava cuprea, leucophylla, alata red tube, and oreophila all with 18 inch pitchers. I don't seem to be able to get past this size.

Also, in the wild, i would have to say 6 feet
Were these 6 foot pitchers you saw in the wild anywhere near a toxic waste dump?

My Leuco pitchers, if I had to guesstimate, are probobly around a foot tall. None of my Sarrs are very old, so I haven't gotten anything larger than that yet.

    Only one is measured though...

As maybe a mini-competetion, does anyone have a sarracenia with a hood over 5.5 inches I'd be curious to see if any can beat mine!!!!!!

I'm speechless, I can't even describe how beautiful those Sarrs of yours are, Steven.

While at Meadowview I coudn't resist finding a tape measure for this thread. The largest ones I could find were the ones growing semi-wild on the property. These pictures were really hard to take as they were in the pond / heavily grassy areas that had plenty of ticks waiting for Phil and I. But here they are!

    Just a hair over 5.5"...

And for height we here is one that is roughly 37 1/4".

Its hard to see the plant to it's true scale due to the heavy grass. Here is Phil Sheridan standing next to a -smaller- plant that was runner up for scale growing next to the location but in the water.

I forgot about these guys. Purps. never get to play in any height games, but still these guys are some monsters and deserve some notoriety. Sorry for no tape measure, but the hand is there for reference.
