    a few pics

Here are some pics of my sarrs. Both came from deathcubes & have recovered nicely.

    S. Rubra (This one started putting out juvenile pitchers from the transplant shock.)

    S. 'Judith Hindle'

A little something else here. Found it crawling around the building at work. Anyone know what type of beetle this is?

To give you an idea of the size...

    Later,
    Jay

I will bet 3.50 that you got those plants from Lowes. Correct?

Yep, the plants came from Lowes. And no the beetle didn't eat me. I let it go right after I took the pics.

No Suzanne, you must embrace that lovely creature for the beautiful beast that it is. Musn't fear. It's a vegetarian...looks to be a member of the dung beetle or scarab family. Most likely feeds on rotted wood. It looks like something I would put on my sister's neck when she wasn't looking, LOL!!! Mean ain't I?? Very nice indeed. Now...if that was a SPIDER!!!

It is one of the N. American scarabs. A rhino beetle, possibly D. tityus... Also called a Hercules beetle.
