    Finally Divided!

Today I finally had the time to divide my Cephalotus. I managed to get 5 (five) divisions out of it!
Only one of the divisions really had roots, all I could get out of the rest was a portion of the stem, the longest being 1/4" at best. Do these have a bad chance of survival? Or should they root just fine?
    Here are some pictures:

    four of the five divisions

The media is roughly 1:1 peat and sand on four of them. One of them has some perlite mixed with the peat and sand.

Best of luck. If you didn't brutally man-handle them, you'll probably be fine.

But I've had a bad time with cephs.

Very nice. Those buggers are far tougher than they appear . . .

Well, it's been a little over a month since I divided these guys up. Here are some updated pictures.
Try matching them up to the old shots.

This one (the one that had roots) didn't skip a beat! New growth and everything.

A couple of growth points through all of the die-back on this one

This one is growing what looks like a non carnivorous leaf

These two aren't looking so hot. But who knows with Cephalotus!

The mother plant seems relieved, LOL. It's doing a lot better without all of those divisions attached.

Look at all the new growth

    enjoy
