Alcohol is a killer against molds and fungus'. Use with caution near your plants though...

Neem oil works well but often requires repeated applications.

mold means there are nutrients there......are you fertilizing?

Many thanks Wayne

i wouldnt worry about it.....its just mold feeding on some nuits in your soil......if its really bugging you, you can flush the pots really well with RO water and that will remove most of the nutrients.....mold isnt always a bad thing and your never going to be completely rid of it when growing plants......your not working in a sterile environment......

I would just scrape off the top layer, including the moss, and add fresh medium on top.

If you want to restrict the growth of mold and moss, adding a top layer of sand works well. Is that the same pot/media you had when you first got it?
