A 2' t5 or 12 is less costly than the Coralife 65W 6700K compact fluorescents which are ~$25 per bulb. Plus I have glass atop the terrarium so am not sure how much heat would pass through. Humidity is not an issue as the glass top keeps it pretty high.
'But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
'Oh, you can't help that', said the Cat: 'we're all mad here.
I'm mad. You're mad.' 'How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
'You must be,' said the Cat, 'or you wouldn't have come here.'

The way I see it is if you want 6700K in t5, t12 or compact fluorescents your going to pay ~$25 anyway.

I little heat will pass through. You can always remove the glass top if/when you add the tank heater. You will have to play with how much you cover the top to get the temps and humidity you are looking for. There is also a temp dial on the fish tank heater. I don't have a top on the terrarium in the picture. It's a highland tank so I keep the top off to keep the temps low. I then run the ultra-sonic humidifier to get the humidity up. Works great for me! Ultimately you will have to choose which ever works best for you

Some people also use a reptile mat, but I'd follow Ron's advice first.
