I have a second flower from my unknown rubra hybrid. I might be able to make a cross, though the flava's flower no longer looks healthy. (cold and rain might have hurt it)
Ya I really had to because of numerous factors. It's a pain to dig them up each year and have to dig down shoulder deep in peat and still rip a large amount of roots off. Also you can never foresee which Sarrs will explode growth wise and which will straggle so some are bound to be in the shadow of the others. This way I can move them around and transplant much more easily. I also am able to get rid of the excess water and clean the containers more easily thus avoiding that rotten egg smell from sulfur bacteria due to the lack of oxygen. Overall I think it will work out better this way but I think once I get too many divisions of some I will place them in the large containers and let them be for a few years weather permitting. Only down side to this method I've come across is the need to water more often and the nuisance of mosquitoes to come. I think I'll have to get a couple BT dunkers in there to keep them in check.
Man, you guys are lucky. It's been windy and cold here... Everything except my oreo still seem to be in deep sleep. I keep telling myself to have patience, but I want my pitchers!
YES!!!!!!! I have a lot... For my unsurity about dormancy... Here's a list, with pics to come when flowering...
Maybe Alata Maroon Throat, A Bubbly rhizome, but not sure if its a flower.

1 Oreo-Everyone mentions vigour to Hybrids with oreo, but my bud grew about 3 inches in a week! definately the fastest bud i've observed yet
