A Yellow Jacket's Private Moment With Ms. Dixie Lace

I know these aren't super amazing like Larry's, but I'm still excited about this

...it might've been stuffed down a pitcher after licking it for nearly an hour.
Hey...my plant needed to get something after that session, too >.>

Heh, nice. You just grabbed the yellow jacket? Didn't it sting you?

Drunk as it was (it didn't mind be bumping against it gently on accidentally, or knocking into the whole table), I picked it up with tweezers

Mach mentioned it was a reproductive female wanting to nest. I think it's possible, it's abdomen (the large stingy part, right?) was rippling periodically, but she was definitely feeding there.

It's always nice to know that there are females who don't think twice about tweezing a yellow jacket for their carnivorous plant.

    It is indeed reassuring...

Nice pix! With my pitchers, I always find the aftermath, never the work-in-progress...

I don't take pictures of me messing with vespids, but have a roach instead:

If you shake a rain stick, you get rain. I need a hamata stick.
