What a great display! Love the work you put into those bogs, very clean looking.

Wow all your plants look so nice and green, my plants look a little green and a lot of brown like they are barely hanging in there. But anyways I think I might have a flowering flava:

Magnificent pictures Fred and Brokken. Really seems that Sarracenia thrive in the California sun.

    Today, while outside - I counted some flower buds on the following plants - S. x "Ladies in Waiting'(7) - S. leucophylla 'Pale Pitchers' (9) - S. oreo x S.minor (17) - S.alata x willisii (5) - S flava v. flava (37)..yes, 37! S.leuco (green) x S.rubra jonesii (green) (26) - S.(flava x purpurea) x leucophylla (17) S. flava rugelli (9)...among others and they really held up well to a real HARD frost we had here a few days back!

When finally something opened. I'm too lazy to count all the buds...

    S. leucophylla - this is supposed to be 'Hurricane Creek White' with the plant originally from John Hummer himself but the pitchers are narrow so it doesn't qualify. I'm wondering if there is some S. rubra ssp alabamensis in it, one of the S. rubra subspecies Hummer favors for his hybrids. Pitchers get around 20-24 inches tall.

loads of fun holding a tape measure without a lock in one hand, camera in the other on a windy day...

Starting to get some flowers poking up, the usual early risers, catesbaei, moorei, a seed grown alata x flava OP that is only 3 yrs old. Got some yucky weather on the way though, windy with temps dropping a little below freezing, just the type of weather to kill flower buds. I don't really want to move them back in the garage. I may try to come up with a big tarp or some plastic or something.
