I think Upcountry Maui is a lot closer to their native environment than most of the grow chambers people have them in. It can get pretty darn cold at night.

Very nice; yet another outside grower. I recall hiking Haleakala and it was nice and cold at night . . .

thanks every one for comments. Still work in progress. Not under full sun at this point. In greenhouse out of shade so getting maybe 10%of the possible UV. I want to step them up gradually. Probably wont move them out to full sun until my wife and i return from our vacation in Oregon. Don't want them to cook when I can't be there to intervene

Over all it is rare for our daily temps even in summer to go that much higher than 80F nights still drop down to the 50-60 range. Ultimately I suspect that is why some sarracenia do not preform well for me. Helis, Cephs, and a few Utircs might be the best for ease of environmental suitability.

Do you grow any Neps outside? With your temps it sounds like the highlanders would love it there!

Moved them outside to get more sun. Seeing more red in the new pitchers. need to wait and see how well things work out.
