New additions to the Cobra bowl...

Brie

Sarracenia freak
I picked up a pot of cobra seedlings from Kristoff the other day and just got around to planting em in my cobra bowl... The 2 at the top are new, as are 2 teeny tiny babies below the biggest plant. Hoping the medium sized plant off to the left survives, it really suffered when I got super busy for 2 days during our last mini heat wave and completely forgot to water them. :(

The seedlings are so cute! :spazz:

They are very nice little plants. I have thought about getting one of these plants. Are they tricky to keep?

I think their sensitivity is overhyped myself.. They really dont seem to be that hard to keep. Put em in a substrate that supplies good drainage, and keep em cool and watered and they're fine. When I bought mine, it was in a small normal 4" pot, planted in just LFS it seemed.. And I just watered it daily... It eventually filled up the pot to the point where it produced that pup which was overhanging one side trying to send out roots into the air lol. Figured it was time to re-pot it then.. Which is when I put together this bowl. I used 1 part peat, 1 part pumice and 1 part fine orchid bark, with hydrton at the bottom of the bowl for further drainage. Forget to water them on 2 90 degree days like I did, and they might get upset at ya(like mine did :\ ) but otherwise, they seem pretty easy.

Nice Cobras Brie! I know its off topic, but that succulent tray is gorgeous. I'd love to see a shot of the whole thing :D

*sigh* well, yes.. it WAS gorgeous. Until the same 2 days I forgot to water the cobras, I also forgot to water those succulents, so about half of them died. I now have the tray sitting on a seed tray full of water so that wont happen again.. Here's a crappy cellphone photo I took the day I bought it.. I have more on my other computer, i'll go dig em out and post em a bit later :)
