Excellent performance Jb, the only area of concern I see at this point is the need for more room LOL

    Thanks, Butch!

LOL... Part of the original point of this tank was practice for setting up my 29g tank (which will soon be empty of fish) in a similar manner. Should be plenty of room in there for quite some time to come.

I've been thinking lately about the humidity. It's been staying at 95% or above consistently. But then I was wondering if this is too high. I put in a second fan (in an exhaust position and it lowered the humidity to around 90% which dipped to around 85%. Realistically, for this set up, what would be the "ideal" humidity to shoot for?

Temps at this point are 66-68 during the day, 48-52 at night.

IMHO a constant 95 is indeed way too high.... I believe a humidity differential much like a temp differential is desirable.

I dont have any hard data but a 60-75% day and 90% night seems to be good for helis, turning fans off at night will take care of the high end.

IMHO constant anything is not good long term.... be it seasonal changes or day/night, change needs to occur in most plants.

While Ive never really had day/night changes in temp, Ive always had it in humidity....
However, I do have a considerable seasonal temp variance....

Looks great! How are you keeping the temps so low? Do you have a cooling mechanism or are they in a cool part of your house?

That makes a lot of sense. I'll have to start putting some thought into that.

In a cool part of the house. I heat with a pellet stove, so I just close the door to the room the plants are in.
