WOOHOO! Great feeling isn't it..

I was worried that it was dieing as the pitchers are not opening up much.

Cephalotus growth documented.

This is my "vigorous" clone from D. Hastings, shortly after purchase in late June 2011. the container is 2.5" across, to give you an idea of scale. The largest juvenile pitcher here is no more than 0.5" tall:

This is the same plant in mid-January 2012, potted into a 5 X 5 X 8" deep pot. The center pitcher is about 1.5" tall and the plant has expanded almost to the full width of the pot:

As long as you learn how to provide their cultural needs and provide plenty of good light, Cephalotus can be very easy to grow and will make nice plants in fairly short order. I am more than satisfied with the progress this plant has made in six months. Don't you agree?!

It great to see growth from Cephs in your own care!
Well done!

@Whimgrinder-those look great. I have had mine only for about a month now. It lost one of its larger pitchers in shipping and I was worried when I had to move it from the shipping pot to another pot from shipping damages that it would crash on me.
@Daniel-I have been really going back and forth about getting one for fear of just killing it in record time so one new leaf is a good sign that something is going right.

I am going to go and get some brigher CFL bulbs today as my plants in the bottom of my tank are only getting about 10-15 footcandles (107-160 lumens) right now.

Well I was checking on my ceph and it has a second leaf !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
