Sarracenia Pot Size

Hi,

I have a reasonably very large S. Leucophylla (Titan) in a pot which is about 8 inches deep. The plant seems to be doing pretty well this year, lots of new growth in the first crop of pitchers, but I was just wondering what was the best sort of depth for containers for these plants, ie, how deep does a typical root system go and would 12 inches be considered too deep?

Hard to say without any pictures but 8 inches sounds fine.

does the plant need re-potting , where do you live if it is in a area that gets very cold or hot a larger pot will not freeze and thor as much or over heat in summer
you should fill out your profile it would help peole answer your questions

8" should be very good, but, like MICKEY said, knowing where you live would be very helpful.
