Sarracenia from Seed!!

DroseraBug

Grow Pitcher Plants!
Come on?! Post some photos of Sarracenia growing from seed. Let's continue this thread into the future, germination to adults! These plants get huge. I know there are more than the handful I know of growing these plants from seed. Let's see some photos. Endless! amounts of variation! Let's see current photos of how you grow these plants! I do like wading through old posts, but lets keep one going. I'll get it started quickly and promise to continue posting.

Great idea and great pictures!

Here are shots of my S. x "Black and Red" through the years. It was the first Sarr that I ever got and it was a seedling when I got it. It's definitely one of my favorites. The flowers produce pollen, but they have not produced seed, even after being hand pollinated. Maybe they're sterile?

Enjoy!

2007 when I got it:

2008. It stayed small, but made some nice pitchers:

2009. Flowered for the first time. Pitchers were amazing late in the year.

2011. Clearly it had a couple growth points and it made two flowers.

2012. I divided it for the first time. It's towards the bottom in the second picture.
