    Darlingtonia Seeds

I will soon be getting Darlingtonia Californica seeds in a trade and I want to make sure I do everything right. I know some people have been annoyed by how much I ask about this on the chatbox so I have just decided to start a thread. So here goes

What kind of media should I use? Will long fibered sphagnum be allright?

After the stratification, should the seeds be put into full sun?

Should a humidity dome be placed over them?

How long do they take to germinate after cold strat?

What media should I use after they germinate?

Long fiber sphagnum moss is fine, so is straight peat moss or peat moss and sand/perlite/pumice. It doesn't matter that much so long as it retains water and the plants can take root.

High humidity facilitates germination. Cover or bag the media and seeds will help. Full sun might cook the seeds. Indirect sun would be better. Keep the soil temperatures below 81F after they germinate or the plants will die.

10-11 days is what I average for the first germination after sowing.
Grand Hotel... always the same. People come, people go. Nothing ever happens.

I'd have to agree with Not a Number, not much else to say on the matter so to speak.
