Jerry's plants were incredible! It was interesting to learn that he has them soaking in a very weak fertilizer solution at all times.

Whoa.. what what? Don't suppose he told you what his formula was?

Maybe Grow-More urea free orchid fert? That is what Karen recommended to me and I know she and Jerry work together pretty closely.

and a Don's Flava... Supposedly these could possibly be the same plant as DC, but so far Don's Flava seems much less "robust" IMO.. Thinner, narrow pitchers, more slender uplifted hood.

"Ares", another Jerry Addington plant.

And my weirdo, a chimera/variegated mystery plant given to me by Jerry to play around with. It flowered for me this year and the flowers are also weird and variegated.

  • #109
Wow. very impressive Brie!

  • #110
I love the colors on that Redman and the Redman x Self!

  • #111
Ditto on the Redmans. I also really like the chimera plant and hope to see pics when the pitchers mature. Great stuff Brie!

The grass in the background looks kinda like the back of my yard, haha, only yours make a nice backdrop for the sarr pics.

Looking awesome Brie. Can't help but notice that your leucophylla 'Snowflake' appears to be a flava though.

That Ontario purp seems exceptional to me. 'Great color.

Looking awesome Brie. Can't help but notice that your leucophylla 'Snowflake' appears to be a flava though.

You could think that, based on color.. The pics really dont show any of the faint white windows it has.. But Snowflake is a super super green plant. Looks basically like a flava.. These are the plants first real pitchers for me since I got it as a division.. And I expect the white to not show up real well until fall... Here's a less washed out photo so you can see the faint white on the lid.. And it does have some on its neck too, just not alot of it yet.

Here's a pic of someone else's Snowflake, basically look like mine right now..

If that is the same 'Snowflake' that Meadowview sells it is a hybrid, x moorei I believe. Nice plant whatever the case may be.

  • #116
Yeah its Meadowview's "Snowflake".. and I agree.. totally a moorei...

  • #117
Brie I'm like 90% positive your chimeric mystery plant is S. xSwaniana the shape and coloration is nearly identical to the many I have seen in situ. It could possibly be back crossed at some point but I kinda of doubt it. Also the flower coloration matches as well. Beautiful plants and photos. I'm very jealous.

Beautiful sarracenia Brie.

My first Sarracenia propegation success, a bit late due to my personal life issues but I finally got everything out and going. These are the first ones to pop.
