    Brie's Sarracenia thread

Since Sarracenia is definitely one of the biggest parts of my collection, I think its time I made them their own thread.. iI'll start off with photos taken yesterday.. Things are FINALLY starting to pick up with our recently sunny weather and I finally have some new pitchers coming up, as well as flowers finally opening... Pardon how dark some of these photos are, I snapped all these after work last night and the sun was going down..

After trimming phyllodia and other junk off, theyre look much cleaner..

Mess o flava after its haircut.. looks much better

Flowers flowers flowers.. lots of pollinating to do! as soon as it stops raining :P

    S. luecophylla 'Titan'

    S. 'Adrian Slack Imposter'

    S. luecophylla 'Snowflake'

With Slack Imposter flower in the background

    S. "sister sister", unknown cultivar, prolly named by some local here

    S. flava rubricorpora - Liberty Co "Best Clone"

    S. 'Leah Wilkerson'

First opened pitcher of the season goes to S. "White Sparkler" aka 'Fireworks'.. JUST popped open its first pitcher.

Its got a bit of Harvey Dent going on..

Doreen's Colosuss after a serious haircut.. No more phyllodia.

    S. umlauftiana x lueco, almost there.. Cant wait to see this one in a few months

    S. 'Skywatcher'.. Very similar to umlauftiana

    S. 'Dixie Lace', still one of my faves

One of two 'Wilkerson's White Knight' x S. purp venosa that I have, produced by Wes Buckner. Cant wait to see what they look like!

    S. xUmlauftiana from brokken.. I found a hitchhiker mostly burried in substrate when I repotted it.. Guess we'll see what that little guy turns out to be..

    S. 'Reptilian Rose'.. too bad something happened to the tip of its tallest pitcher. :\

    S. 'Gin Goblin' showing signs of life..

    S. rubra wherryi, Citronelle Bog

    S. 'Tarnok'

My little rubricorpora x purp montana Catesbaei seedlings by Brokken that i'm apparently failing with hardcore.. They have done NOTHING since I got them.. cept replace dead pitchers with ones of the exact same size. *sigh*

It is currently exactly that color.. Very.. bronze highlighted.. Its just beginning to get some green back after the dark winter.. All my purps were just dark dark red/purple all winter, even the montanas which are typically neon green/red.. So I think its just a phase they're going through..

Nice Brie! Be patient with Brokken's Cats...they aren't the quickest but they should be very rewarding when they reach maturity. I recently transplanted a few of mine and they are also sulking a bit.
