Thank you everyone for your answers and drama
So I can ignore how online-based sellers have their soil mix? Usually I get my plants sent with a whole lot of perlite packed in.

Just leave the plants as they are, they're growing.

Oh, I was thinking of amounts along the lines of growing plants just in live sphagnum alone.
Come to me flies and crawling bugs. This plant wants to give you great big hugs
    Aren't I pretty, don't I smell good? I'd come to you if I could
But I can't so you must come to me, I'm sure we will get along splendidly

Doesn't that get hard with it over growing seedlings and smaller plants?

Wouldn't the sphagnum at the bottom die due to lack of light and getting crowded out by everything on top?
