Although my rankings may be off a bit (since I can't go out & walk among them) - here goes:

    1. S. flava var atropurpurea "Kimber Red Ruffles" - probably the most striking plant I own. The size & color of the lids just never get old (example)
    2. S. leucophylla var alba - I don't own any clones that could claim this name but I'm always impressed by pics of really white variants
    3. S. psittacina - a very unique trapping mechanism within Sarracenia - combine w/ a large, bulbous, colorful head - wow
    4. S. flava var atropurpurea - NC locations - another clone I don't own - but pics are always beautiful & elegant
    5. S. purpurea var montana - a clone with good veining is extremely striking - has to draw you in to admire the designs & color
    6. S. 'Adrian Slack' - one of the few hybrids that can possibly improve on the design - very impressive
    7. S. purpurea "Brunswick Beauty" - super dark & very vigorous. In general, the low, water-filled traps of all S. purpurea have proven to be very effective. Examples of purpurea diversity in one tray
    8. S. minor 'Okee Giant' - love the appearance & design of this species (S. minor in general but large variant is even more impressive) - tightly closed hood keeps out water & makes the windows more effective
    9. S. leucophylla - red variant - combined with normal & alba clones, this variant is beautiful
    10. S. rosea var luteola - large, robust & very striking with it's light green color
Honorable mention: S. rubra var alabamensis - while S. rubra tends to be somewhat drab most of the year, this subspecies (or now species) really comes alive during the fall with larger, lighter-colored pitchers

If this list can include plants we don't have, then here goes:
    1. 'Elaine Wang'-I know everyone's seen this plant by now, and knows why....
    2. flava "atropurpurea" Blackwater River, FL-the size of the lids and incredibly deep color
    3. flava rubricorpora "L x Best" Liberty Co. FL-I own a clone, incredibly vigorous and keeps the color well
    4. A particular 'Royal Ruby' x 'Adrian Slack' seedling I own with an unusual vermillion blush
    5. 'Adrian Slack'-you know why
    6. S. leucophylla 'Hurricane Creek White'-the white. Simply, the white.
    7. "Bengal Tiger"-incredible veining
    8. oreophila-extremely hardy and just elegant
    9. flava rugelii-the simplicity of color and elegant shape
    10. 'Zjahnine'- and absolutely fantastic mix of dark and light.

This list probably changes every time I see new pictures, but....
Everything has a reason, whether big or small. Never underestimate the power of what is or is not.
There is far more to everything than meets the eye.
