Cause to void after removing the dead pitchers in the middel Make it look so ugly and bare mow..ahrg! Yrs are just soo perfect!

Do you have a picture ?

I'll take one. Not as beautiful as yours it was mostly dead pitchers when i received it and after some pitchers grew and during acclimation the tops of the pitchers got a bit crispy and dry sooo since I've removed the dead pitchers the middle is pretty bare and the pitchers are all scattered and elongated and ugly..ahrg! Hold on gotta upload a photo

A few months back the pitchers were grown beautifully, but one hot day while i was acclimating them to outside on my sun porch the pretty pitchers got all crispy and many shrivled up from the heat cause i forgot to close the bag half way after i watered them...ahrg! But the middle has pretty much always been bare after removing the dead pitchers after i got suck of seeing them ..now its ugly as ever and its my only heli to study soo id like it to look somewhat nice lol

Sorry for posting in yr thread

Your heli is healthy, new pitchers will grow and you will end with a nice clump. IMHO, no need to make divisions, just provide good growing conditions. Take care with direct sunlight+your bag. You will cook your plant. If you dont have a terrarium or fluo tubes, i suggest a bright windowsill.

If you can supplement with extra light(led or t5) go ahead. More light will make your helis stronger and more colorfull. Specially in winter.

By the way, dont worry with your plant looking(its not so bad imo), sometimes a plant can have a odd looking at reception. The important is what you will do from now.

This is a h.minor var minor i got in 2012

I only use the bag to catch the extra water from the tray its in when i water. Its acclimated so it doesn't sit in a sealed bag. It. Also makes it easier to move it without spilling water some of my plants dont have trays so sit in bags lol. I started using icecream sundae covers/dishes from the ice cream places but it doesnt fit to many pots in them and i always worry about the plants getting to damp and the other not enough water.. But i dont have enough space at the moment for single trays individually until summer when ill have tge new sunporch/greenhouse finished being renovated. I was hoping id be done BUT ..my current funds are low at the moment to get everything done..ahrg!

Thanks for the advice I'm just filling the gap with sphag to make it look less bare till pitcher grow and fill it up. :) thanks for the advice, hope mine look like yours do someday

Thanks ! :)

Yes the selection 1 stay lime green, even under massive lighting. Maybe i will have more color when the plant will mature, and with cold winter nights.

YAYAY

The ovary of my h.minor burgundy-black's flower get bigger; thats mean im successful.

I made my dream cross; burgundy-black x minor var pilosa. Now i can die :)

The flower was tiny, so i expect only a few seeds, but its hard to tell im not experienced enough. Now the waiting game has begun !

:)
