This fungus has appeared in some spots in my bog it is near some of my pitcher plants. I try to resist using chemicals in my bog. In my inside plants long fibered sphangum usally takes care of any fungus problems, but this fungus grows over live sphangum. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?
That kind of looks like a slime mold more than a fungus. My wife, who is studying fungus for her PhD concurs. She said a fungus would be attached, or actually growing on something. This stuff appears to be just oozing around. She also said fungi wouldn't be "glistening" like this stuff is. She can't be certain from the photo though.
